WHEN IS RENT DUE/HOW DO I PAY RENT?
Rent is due on the 1st of every month; however there is a grace
period until the 3rd. On the 4th, rent is considered late and
subject to a fine.
For your convenience, you can pay online via the property’s website
(click on PAY RENT under the RESIDENTS section of our website)
using a debit/credit card, set up an automatic withdrawal, or
Echeck. We do not accept cash, physical checks or money orders.
IS THE COMMUNITY PET FRIENDLY?
The Seneca is a pet friendly community and therefore allows dogs and cats. The weight restriction for a dog should be approximately 65 pounds. Please contact the leasing office for more information about pet fees and monthly pet rent.
IS THERE INSURANCE COVERAGE IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE, THEFT, OR NATURAL CAUSES? DOES MY LEASE PROVIDE COVERAGE FOR MY BELONGINGS?
Residents or guests personal property and vehicles are not insured under the apartment lease agreement. We do require that all residents provide proof of insurance against loss or damage due to fire, theft, vandalism, rain, water, criminal negligent acts of others or any other cause. You can purchase a Renter's Insurance policy for a modest annual fee or your parent's home-owner's policy may provide coverage. Of course, you may also obtain coverage through the property’s sponsored provider which is Resident Insure. Please ask the Leasing Office for more information.
WHAT IF I HAVE A MAINTENANCE ISSUE OR NEED IN MY APARTMENT?
During business hours, you may call/email us via the resident portal or stop into the office to let us know of your issue. After hours, call the community office at 614.388.8172, press option 3 and you will be forwarded to an operator that will page the appropriate property personnel to respond to your situation.
DO I HAVE TO BRING ANY FURNITURE?
The Seneca Apartments does not have furnished apartments however we have a friendly rapport with CORT furniture. Please let us know if you have any furniture needs and we can forward them to our representative at CORT.
HOW CLOSE IS THE COMMUNITY TO CAMPUS?
The Seneca Apartments is located .07 miles from Capital Law University and .10 from Columbus College of Art and Design. We are approximately 10 minutes to The Ohio State University. In addition to these campuses we are situated four blocks north of Grant Hospital and 1.6 miles (4 minutes by car) to Children's Hospital. The Seneca Apartments has close proximity to many large corporations such as Nationwide Insurance, Motorists Insurance, Abercombie & Fitch, Limited Brands, Cardinal Health and Ross Laboratories to name a few.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?
We offer covered garage parking which is located across the street from the Seneca, at a rate of $95 per month. There are some additional offerings of surface lot parking and meter parking. If you wish to hear more details about our parking options, please call the office.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY APARTMENT?
The Seneca apartments are unfurnished; however we do work with
Cort Furniture Co. and would be happy to refer you to them, if
necessary. Our kitchens include a refrigerator, stove, microwave,
garbage disposals and dishwashers. Additionally, some of our
kitchens include a pantry. You may view our floor plans to
determine which units do. Every unit comes complete with a full
size, high efficiency front loading washer/dryer.
If you should have a roommate, please contact him/her prior to
moving-in to coordinate the common area furnishings and items such
as; sound systems, trash cans, plates, silverware, cups, pots &
pans, etc. For your own bedroom and personal space, you will need
to bring your bath and personal products as well as a shower
curtain & hooks, bath mats, towels, linens, pillows, and whatever
else will help create your home away from home. Your community's
staff members are a great resource for planning your move – don't
hesitate to call them with questions or simply to feel reassured
about what you've already prepared.
